Both selections keep the natural warmth of Hemlock while offering a different visual character.
We source our vertical grain hemlock from some of the highest-quality mills in the industry. Our suppliers carefully sort out the balsam that is commonly found in lower-grade VG hemlock, giving us a cleaner, more consistent product with better colour, grain, and overall appearance.
The result is premium vertical grain hemlock suited for high-end millwork, mouldings, doors, and architectural applications.
We source high-grade mixed grain hemlock from quality mills that carefully sort out the balsam commonly found in lower grades, giving us a cleaner and more consistent product.
Mixed grain hemlock features beautiful natural grain variation and distinctive cathedral patterns. We recommend adding a light wire texture to accentuate the cathedrals and bring out the character of the wood, creating a warm, textured look with plenty of visual interest.
